Environmental Club
The objective of the club is to provide an avenue for students to enjoy environmental activities while developing their understanding of ecological stewardship and building their character through their involvement in sustainability initiatives.
Students participate in a programme that includes:
Skills Development
Members learn the foundation skills of environmental stewardship and practise
activities such as urban farming, solar energy monitoring and operating
food compost machines. Students develop ecological awareness through hands-on
experience with sustainability projects. Players participate in activities
that help them master environmental concepts and expand their understanding
of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 while becoming environmentally conscious
citizens.
Leadership Opportunities
Students are exposed to Clean and Green monitor training where they can
take on active leadership roles in resource management and energy conservation.
These experiences provide valuable opportunities and help students develop
responsibility for school premises oversight. Members learn the importance
of environmental advocacy through spearheading major awareness campaigns
including Earth Week and creating digital learning packages.
Character Building
Students focus on developing leadership skills and environmental responsibility
alongside their practical abilities. The programme emphasises that environmental
activities empower students to become ecological stewards and community
advocates. Members gain skills that enable them to infuse environmental
concepts into school events and make meaningful contributions to sustainability
goals.
